Day Ten: Israeli Style Shabbat

24 Jun

With our host families, everyone had a unique experience, though they all had similarities. Shabbat started out with the lovely pleasure of sleeping in for most of us. Then we went, almost as a full group, to the movie theater at the mall, and we were all very relieved that it was in english. This was followed by some good quality bowling. By the time we were done, we were all ready for some dinner. We headed back to the mall for some food and enjoyed our last bit of bonding time with our hosts. We really felt like family; our Israeli peers made us feel right at home. We all made new friends, tried new things, had fun, and no one wanted to say goodbye.
